Who, though he was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped, Philippians 2:6
We need to remember that Jesus is God the Son. He is a form of God. Jesus is equal to God before, during, and after Jesus’s time on earth. Jesus will always be God. Jesus let go of his privileges and glory in heaven to come to earth to serve you. He let go of his equality with God, to come live as a man and to pay the penalty of our sins. So that we might be saved!!! We might not be able to grasp what Jesus chose to do for us. I don’t really think it is for us to grasp. All we need to do, though, is trust him, have faith in him, and to be devoted to him wholeheartedly. Are you willing to make these choices? To trust him, when we don’t understand? To have faith in him, when it might seem hard to do? Can you be wholeheartedly devoted to our Triune God with your whole heart, soul, mind, and strength? We don’t have to be perfect, we just have to obey and keep trying.
Dear God,
I thank you for your great plan and that you have everything in control in the palm of your hand. All we have to do is believe that Jesus is your Son, that He is God, and to obey and be devoted to you. God I pray that you will lead us in your direction and that we will seek you. Amen
