And God gave Solomon wisdom and understanding beyond measure, and breadth of mind like the sand on the seashore so that Solomon’s wisdom surpassed the wisdom of all the people of the east and all the wisdom of Egypt. 1 Kings 4:29-30
Do you have a real and practical relationship with God?
Can a person have a real, practical, or personal relationship with God?
People tend to think that God is a far off and not concerned God. They think that he doesn’t care for their day to day living. However, this is not the God we see in scriptures. We will dig deeper into verses that will show his concerns for us.
Love must be real and practical. We cannot love without someone to love. Our relationship with God can be real because we are real and God is real. This has always been God’s desire for us to have a relationship with him. God is pouring himself out into us.
After answering the above questions, do you need to evaluate your relationship with God? Ask God to show you where your relationship with him needs to improve in a real and practical way.
Is God really a practical God?
Yes! Yes, he is. Even though we call these miracles, God is also being practical. The Israelites he supplied manna, quail, and water. For the feeding of the five thousand with fish and bread. He met their needs. He is meeting our needs. Just his way. God being constantly in our lives is practical. It is we who limit God in our lives. We call on him only when we need His help. Yet, this is the opposite of what we find in scripture. God is working in our World and asking us to join Him and to relate to Him.
God is real, God is practical. We can have this kind of relationship with Him.
Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank you for your real and practical love in our lives. I pray that if we don’t see it that way that you will reveal that area to us. I pray that we will not put limits on you, Lord. Thank you for being kind and caring and meeting our needs as you see fit.
In Jesus Name
Amen
