God is rich in mercy means “in the multitude of mercy”. He is abundance of mercy. He is so rich in this area that God is willing to impart it to others. Even to those who are dead in their sin. God is ready to forgive us when we are ready to ask for it and to change our way of living. He has so much that he blesses others. He chooses to give us an abundance of his mercy each new day.
God has a great love for us. It is above all else. It is the reason for salvation. His plan to send Jesus to be among us and go through he crucifixion. We were thought of, and predestined for adoption through Jesus Christ.
While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Now that is a great love. I think of the people I “dislike or “hate”; would I be willing to send my son to die for them? Would I be willing to die for them? Be honest with yourself here! I really don’t know, but I am leaning more on the side of no, I wouldn’t. God, however, did do this! Thank goodness!!!

Can you grasp the great love God has for you?
Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank you for your richness of mercy that you bestow upon each of us. Thank you for your great love you have for us. Thank you for your goodness.
