Have you ever been in a nature storm? Either a blizzard, a tornado, hurricane, etc. Years ago, my family and I were on a closed road in the middle of Montana’s winter in a blizzard. We could not see the road or vehicles or vehicles that were coming towards us. I have never been so afraid in my life! I thought for sure we were going to crash and die buried in snow. However, as you can see, we made it. I pray so hard during that time, and yes, when everything was done, and I got calm and stopped being angry at my husband, I realized that God’s hand was with us and on us. He was our protection and our safe Haven.
God is our hope! He is the author of hope. He is the foundation of our hope. Jesus is our safe haven in the middle of our storms, the wilderness, and the desert times of our lives. Romans 15:13 says, “May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.” God wants us to have hope. He wants to be our anchor, safe haven, and protector. He wants to fill us with peace, joy, and hope. He doesn’t want to fill us a little but fill us to where we are overflowing with peace, joy, and hope.
God gives us promises! Romans 15:13 is one of those promises. He will give us hope, joy, and peace when we are in the middle of seasons, struggles, and storms of life that leaves us scared, weary, and parched. The Holy Spirit refills us. Hallelujah!!!
Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank you for being our anchor, our protector, and our safe haven. Thank you for filling us with your joy, peace, and hope.
In Jesus Name
Amen
