. Christ is Born. Immanuel – God with us. It is time to yell, “Merry Christmas.” To be of good cheer. Have excitement. We are busy with opening presents, getting the dinner prepared. Do you make time for God on this Day? We use the day as a reminder that He did come here to earth to be with us. Yet, have we put him off to the side of all our business?
Even though the Jews didn’t have the whole picture of God’s plan in the Bible times, today we do. We know he was born with a purpose, and we know that 33 years later, He will hang on the cross in our place so we can have freedom. Today we can celebrate Triumph. We have triumphed because of our Redeemer, our Messiah, Our Savior.
Read Revelation 12:11:
They conquered him
by the blood of the Lamb
and by the word of their testimony,
for they did not love their lives
in the face of death.
Jesus was given to us freely. The word of our testimony is our power tool to defeat the enemy. When we testify about Jesus and the wonderful things He does, His light is shining through us to those around us.
Take time today to spend time with our Triune God. Take time to celebrate Jesus’ birth and His purpose of coming to Earth. For some of us, today can be stressful, sad, etc. Walking with God is not always easy. However, God delivers us and provides for us. We have true victory as children of God. We find refuge in His stronghold.
Today, I encourage you to celebrate and be in God’s presence and not so much in the presents.
Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank you for sending your Son to be with us. Thank you for your plan of redemption. We love you and adore you.
In Jesus Name
Amen
