Can we get serious for a moment and ask some hard questions? What are your beliefs based on? Truth or lies? Where do you base these truths on? Where do they come from? The Bible, the world, or our enemy, the father of lies?
Read the following verses: John 8:44, “You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father’s desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies”, John 10:10 “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.”, and James 4:7, “Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.”
. According to these verses, Satan steals, kills, and destroys. We can resist him, and he will flee from us.
God has taken us out of the darkness and placed us within the Kingdom of His Son. “For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves,” Colossians 1:13. This truth came straight from the Bible. The Word of God is our most powerful weapon we can use against the enemy.
God has entrusted us with this holy weapon. It is one that is invincible, invisible, and incorruptible. He has entrusted with His Word. God wants us to speak His word to the world. He wants us to live His word out in this world so others will know the truth and His Truth. When we speak God’s word, our enemy has to flee. Satan is already defeated.
To know how to use this Holy weapon, we cannot just know the Word’s generalities. We must know how to wield the power of the Word of God whether the battle is our identity, our purpose, our family, or our very bodies. We cannot let Satan steal what is not His to steal. It is rightfully ours.
Are you ready to know the Word of God? Are you ready to take the time to learn the truth of God through his word?
Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank you for your truth. Thank you for sending Truth to us through your Word. I pray that each of us will take the time to learn your truth right from you and the people you entrusted to speak this truth. Help us to discern this in our life.
