    Knowing God

Whoever has my commands and obeys them, he is the one who loves me.  He who loves me will be loved by my father, ad I too will love him and show myself to him. John 14:21 Did you know that the call to a relationship with God is also a call to be missional with Him? If you want to know God’s will, you must respond to His invitation to love Him wholeheartedly.  Isn’t this exciting!  God works through those who love Him and are willing to carry out His work for His kingdom purposes in the world.  Are you willing to look at how God invites you to…

So!! Get your journals, pens, and bible and spend time with God.  Listen to him and obey him.  When you get uncomfortable with the quiet, just stay there and give God time to do what he…

    A Real And Practical Relationship

At Gibeon, the Lord appeared to Solomon in a dream by night, and God said, “Ask what I shall give you.” And Solomon said, “You have shown great and steadfast love to you servant David my father, because he walked before you in faithfulness, in righteousness, and in uprightness of heart toward you.  And you have kept him this great and steadfast love and have given him a son to sit on his throne this day.  1 Kings 3:5-6  And God gave Solomon wisdom and understanding beyond measure, and breadth of mind like the sand on the seashore so that Solomon’s wisdom surpassed the wisdom of all the people of…

    God Pursuing You

The Lord appeared to us in the past saying: ‘ I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with loving-kindness.’  Jeremiah 31:3 God always is the first to pursue a love relationship with each of us.  He comes to us and takes the initiative so we can experience him.  This is what he did with Adam and Eve.  He fellowshipped with them and them with Him.  He came to Noah, Abraham, Moses, etc.  We do not seek God on our own initiative. Romans 3:10-12 says, “as it is written, “THERE IS NONE RIGHTEOUS, NOT EVEN ONE; THERE IS NONE WHO UNDERSTANDS, THERE IS NONE WHO SEEKS FOR GOD; ALL…

    Walking With God

And they heard the sound of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the day.  Genesis 3:8 God created Adam and Eve in his image and in a perfect love relationship with himself.  God walked in the Garden with his human creatures.  Of course, God did not have legs and literally walk with Adam and Eve, but the metaphor expresses the companionship and harmonious relationship that existed between them. The Garden was a place where Adam and Eve could meet with God any place. No specific place had to be set apart for meeting with God because every place was appropriate—that is, until the Fall. Then…

    Love Relationship With God

Do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we drink? or ‘What shall we wear? For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them.  But seek first HIs kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.”  Matthew 6:31-33 Are you satisfied with your relationship with our Triune God?  Or is your heart desiring more? Let’s take a moment and search our hearts and motives. Would you rather have: Jesus or silver, gold, riches untold, houses, and land Would you rather have:  Jesus or Men’s applause and worldwide fame Would you rather have: Jesus or be the king…

God Pursues a Relationship of Love

Jesus replied: “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.  This is the first and greatest commandment.”  Matthew 22:37-38 Do you ever feel like there are times in your life when God doesn’t love you? Have you ever been accused of not loving someone in your life just because of the circumstances that a person is in? It’s not that you don’t love them unconditionally or that your love for them has changed, it is just that you are loving them differently. This is the same way we might feel towards God.  However, that is not a true feeling.…
