Read Romans10:14-21.
14 How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher? 15 And how shall they preach unless they are sent? As it is written:
“How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the gospel of peace,
Who bring glad tidings of good things!”
This makes me think of the song “How Beautiful” by Twila Paris. I don’t think there is no correlation, however, it’s a beautiful song about Christ and His feet. What I do know is Romans chapters 9-11, quote many verses from the Old Testament. Paul also uses references from the book of Hebrews.
Read Isaiah 52:7.
How beautiful upon the mountains
Are the feet of him who brings good news,
Who proclaims peace,
Who brings glad tidings of good things,
Who proclaims salvation,
Who says to Zion,
i“Your God reigns!”
I love how Paul quotes the Old Testament! When we bring the good news to others, we are known by God to have beautiful Feet. It’s taking His message to the lost, and sharing it with all who hear What our Triune God has done. Has anyone ever invited you to Sunday school, church service, bible study, etc? Did you accept it? Have you invited anyone to these events in your life? Have you or someone else initiated a spiritual conversation? Yes, we can hear the good news on the internet, radio, and television. However, have you ever encountered someone’s personal testimony of faith that has had more of an impact on your life? I have had many people in my life impact me by their beautiful feet of faith and help me grow in my own faith.
When we have become a child of God, we then are commissioned to go and tell all about our Savior. Have you shared the good news lately? We, as people, love to share with others all the good things that happen in our life. Well, wouldn’t you say that Jesus is good news and we need to share this with others?
Do you have beautiful feet? Or is this an area that needs to be work on? Be courageous and brave and go out and share the love of Christ. You do have beautiful feet!
Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank you for giving us the courage to do what you ask us to do for you. I pray that we will be excited about your good news that we will want to share it with those around us. I pray that our love for you will pour out to those around us.
In Jesus Name
Amen
