Have you blessed the Lord?
Bless the Lord, means to express on honor, deep affection, and gratitude to God. It is speaking openly about how great and worthy God is. God is all knowing, all powerful creator. This is why He should be blessed, praised, and worshiped.
When we worship God, it is appropriate to focus our attention on God‘s character traits. God’s traits are goodness, mercy, faithfulness, compassion, holiness, and majesty.
How do you honor God?
How do you show deep affection to God?
How do you show gratitude to God?
Honor means high respect, great esteem, or adherence to what is right or to a conventional standard of conduct. We honor God by respecting his commands. We obey him.
To show deep affection to God is to spend time with him. We study his word and apply it to our lives. Again, obedience is a way to show deep affection to our God. Doing his will and purpose is also another way. We need to spend time in prayer with God.
We can give gratitude to God by thanking him for all he has done for us. Gratitude is an action of being thankful. In our prayers we need to be thanking him showing our gratitude of what God has done for us and also how he has supplied our to our needs.
Dear Heavenly Father,
I thank you for everything you do for your children. Thank you for meeting our needs. I pray that we will honor you. I pray that we will show our deep love for you. I also pray that we show our gratitude towards you daily.
