Bless The Lord, O My Soul

Bless the Lord, O my soul, and all that is within me, bless his holy name!  Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits.  who forgives all your iniquity, who heals all your diseases, who redeems your life form the pit, who crowns you with steadfast love and mercy, who satisfies you with good so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.  Psalm 103: 1-5

Do you ever talk to yourself about where your soul is with God?

Do you bless the Lord and his Holy name?

Do you remember the benefits he gives you?

This Psalm is an expression of thanksgiving and praise to the Lord for the benefits and blessings he gives to us.  He gives us benefits to those who keep his commandments and promises and who maintain a faithful relationship with him.

We must not forget God’s goodness to us or fail to thank him for the blessings.  God generously gives us blessings through the Holy Spirit.

David is stirring within himself to the duty of praises to God.  It is the Lord that is to be blessed not us.  Our soul is to be employed in blessing God and all that is within us.

He is telling his soul to consider all that God has done for him.  God forgives.  He forgives everytime we sin and keep doing the same sin.

God saves us.  He protects us.  He crowns us with his lovingkindness and tender mercies.

Oh!!! How we should bless the Lord.  Our soul should be focused on him for all he does for us.

Where is your soul at?

Dear Heavenly Father,

We have so much to be thankful for.  I pray that our soul will be intuned to you and bless you.  I pray that we will always remember how good you are.

In Jesus Name

Amen
