    Return To Me

But if you return to me and keep my commandments and do them, though your outcasts are in the uttermost parts of heaven, from there I will gather them and bring them to the place that I have chosen, to make my name dwell there.  Nehemiah 1:9 Are you thankful that God lets us return to him when we repent? I am so thankful that when I mess up and don’t keep God’s commandments, he still allows me to return to him.  Yes, I do have to change and learn from my mistakes.  I am thankful that God is a forgiving God.  One that forgives over and over.  I need to…

    Attentive To The Prayer

Please, Lord, let your ear be attentive to the prayer of your servant and to that of your servants who delight to revere your name.  Nehemiah 1:11 Don’t you just love God’s word.  I am so thankful for His Word.  I am thankful that through His Word he speaks to us!  Or at least its one way of hearing him.    I really enjoyed studying the old testament.  In fact, when I got the last book of the Old Testament, I grieved.  I know you are probably saying, ‘what???’  Not that since I started the new testament have I not opened the old testament.  I have read books still…

For Such A Time As This

For if you remain silent at this time, relief and deliverance for the Jews will arise from the another place,  But you and your father’s family will perish. And who knows but that you have come to you and your Royal position for such a time as this?  Esther 4:14 For the next twelve days I want to share with you, verses that I am thankful for and why!! Do you ever wish you could be in a different era?  I sure have.  For whatever reason, I just thought I was in the wrong time frame of life. Until I studied the book of Esther. In verse  14, it shows…

    He Thanked Jesus

Then one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, praising God with a loud voice;  and he fell on his face at Jesus’ feet, giving him thanks.  Now he was a Samaritan.  Luke 17:15-16 Have you thanked God for your salvation, love, grace, and all of his spiritual benefits.  We must never forget to thank him.  What God has done for us, should make us to want to thank God continually.  We should want to  approach Him with a grateful heart. Only one out of the 10 lepers came back to thank Jesus for healing him.  The leper glorified God with a loud voice.  We should…

    Magnify With Thanksgiving

I will praise the name of God with a song; I will magnify him with thanksgiving.  Psalm 69:30 Do you ever complain to God? Then realize you need to praise him and give thanks. The psalmist is an example of Christians, concludes a psalm with holy joy and praise, which he began with complaints and remonstrances of his griefs. He restores to praise God himself.  He not only praises God with his heart but with his song and magnifies God with thanksgiving.  This will please the Lord.  Christ is the mediator of our praises as well as of our prayers.  It is a great comfort to us that humble and…

    Reflection Day

Good Morning, Friends! Today his Reflection Day!  I really love reflection day.  It’s a time for me to go back and reflect on what God has spoken to me about.  It gives me time to pray and seek God about what he wants to speak to change in my life.  It gives me time to make a game plan of putting action to what God is telling me and asking of me. So!! get your journals, pens, and bible and spend time with God.  Listen to him and obey him.  When you get uncomfortable with the quiet, just stay there and give God time to do what he wants.  Find…

    Voice Of Thanksgiving

But I with the voice of thanksgiving will sacrifice to you; what I vowed I will pay.  Salvation belongs to the Lord!”  Jonah 2:9 Do you give thanks to God as a sacrifice? Jonah gave a sacrifice of thanksgiving to God, while he was in the belly of the fish.  Here God intervened in his desperate situation.  In verse 10, “And the Lord spoke to the fish, and it vomited Jonah out upon the dry land.” In Hebrews 13:15 says, “Through him then let us continually offer up a sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of lips that acknowledge his name.   Sacrifice is used symbolically to…

    Giving Thanks At Mealtimes

And taking the five loaves and two fish he looked up to heaven and said a blessing and broke the loaves and gave them to the disciples to set before the people.  And he divided the two fish among them all.  Mark 6:41 Do you thank God for every meal?  What about snacking?  Do you thank God for that? My husband is really good at taking the time to thank God for the food he gives us.  He taught our children also. they each get a day to thank God for the food he puts on our table.  Can I tell you how thankful I am for a godly husband and…

    Community of Gratitude and Hospitality

And day by day, attending the temple together and breaking bread in their homes, they received their food with glad and generous hearts, praising God and having favor with all the people.  And the Lord added to their number day by day those who were being saved.  Acts 2: 46-47 Do you have a church that you attend? Are you breaking bread with your brothers and sisters in Christ? This has a twofold meaning.  The first expression in Acts and the early church seems to refer to sharing meals in one another’s home.  How often do you cultivate relationships with others in your church?  Do you ask them to your…

Not Giving God Gratitude For What He Gives

And she did not know that it was I who gave her the grain, the wine, and the oil, and who lavished on her silver and gold, which they used for Baal.  Hosea 2:8 Have you ever done something for someone, yet another got the credit for it? Has God ever blessed you with a harvest of food, and you never gave him credit for it? Israel is not giving gratitude where gratitude is due.  Year after year, God gives Israel plenty of harvest.  Year after year, though, the Israelites offer what God gives them to Baal.  A false god that doesn’t even exist.  They honor Baal and not God.…
