. You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit and that your fruit should abide, so that whatever you ask the father in my name, he may give it to you. John 15:16
God Chose you! He chose you first! He made the first choice to love and die for you. God wants you to choose him. He has an invitation for you to choose him. Remember He doesn’t make you choose him. It’s up to you. After you choose him, God appoints you to go and bear fruit. What the fruit we are to bear?
As Christians, we are to bear fruit of spiritual values and godly characters. The fruit of the spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self- control.
These fruits abide in Christ. Which means staying close to him in all things. It means to obey God. When we abide in Christ whatever we ask in Jesus name if it is His will God will give it to us. It staying in God’s love for you. This is a continual action. We should our love to God by keeping His commandments. By abiding in Christ, we choose to love others.
Do you abide in Christ?
Do you realize God chose you and appointed you?
Do you apply the godly characters?
Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank you for choosing us. Thank you for giving us the fruit of the spirit. I pray that we will abide in you. I pray that we will keep your commandments. I pray that we will love others as you love.
