Chosen By Grace

In the same way then, there has also come to be at the present time a remnant according to God’s gracious choice.  But if it is by grace, it is no longer on the basis of works, otherwise grace is no longer grace.  Romans 11:5-6

God’s gracious plan to send his Son into the world to save all who accept His message of salvation by faith and live their lives for him. This salvation has many gifts that comes with it.   It gives us forgiveness of our sins.  We have a restored relationship with God. We also have eternal life.  Things gifts cannot be earned by good works.  If salvation was based on our works, we would have to earn our salvation.  There would be a burden of trying to please God.  We would have the stress of trying to be perfect, holy blameless in God’s eyes.  However, God has a better plan.  Salvation is a matter of God’s grace.  Grace is the undeserved favor because of Jesus sacrifice.  This must be  by faith.  Jesus came served, taught, loved,  was sacrificed for our sins, and rose from death.  God chose to receive all of us who believe in and follow Christ.  God and those who follow Christ both have an active role in choosing this plan.  By choosing this grace, we have a goal of being holy and blameless in God’s sight.

Do you think it is easy to work for salvation or to accept grace?

Do you think some people’s behavior is so bad that God couldn’t  possibly save them?

If you ever think this way, you don’t understand God’s grace completely.
