Only conduct yourselves in a manner worthy of the gospel of Christ; so that whether I come and see you or remain absent, I may hear of you that you are standing firm in one spirit, with one mind striving together, for the faith of the gospel,
Philippians 1:27
When we accept Christ as our savior, we become citizens of the Kingdom of God. We need to be good patriotic citizens of the Kingdom of God. As Paul stated that they, the Philippians, were accountable to him, we, too, need to be accountable to one another. This means that when we see each other living in sin, we need to confront each other over that sin, pray for each other, and love each other. It is not easy choosing to be obedient to God, however, as Christians, we choose that every day. The only way to conduct ourselves that is worthy of the Gospel is to hold each other to a standard that the Bible has set before us. The only way to achieve this is, to be honest with ourselves and others with where we are in the flesh. We all have battles we fight in the flesh.
We need to be unified together in One Spirit for the Kingdom of God. We should restrain from fighting with each other. When we are unified, we are productive for God’s purpose. We can increase trust and belief in the good news of Jesus when we are in unity when we start acting differently in the world. That is when unbelievers will see Christ.
Dear God
I pray that we will conduct ourselves in a manner worthy of the gospel of Christ. I pray that we will hold one another accountable to your word. I pray that we will be unified for your glory.
