Courage In The Battle

And Moses said to the people, Fear not, stand firm, and see the salvation of the Lord, which he will work for you today.  For the Egyptians whom you see today, you shall never see again.  The Lord will fight for you, and you have only to be silent.  Exodus 14:13-14

Have you ever been in despair where you can’t see anything good around you?

This is how the people were when escaping Pharaoh.  Moses encourages them to watch the wonderful way God would rescue them.  Moses had a wonderful attitude.  When it looked like they were trapped,  Moses prayed for God to intervene.

I might not be running from an army, but I have had people in my life, yes even Christians, who would attack me with the words they would say about me.  I felt so lost and that I couldn’t be trusted.  However, I got down on my knees and prayed over their lies.  I gave it all to God.  At that moment, I saw God become my protector from the words that were being said.  God had worked it out.

Stand firm in God and let him intervene on your behalf.  He will protect you. Have courage.

Do you have a battle that you are in and need God to intervene? Stop and pray! Give it to our Triune God.

Dear Heavenly Father,

Oh, how wonderful you are.  You are our great protector.  I pray that you will protect every one of us.  Would you please help us offer grace and mercy to those who attack us, whatever way it is?

In Jesus Name,

Amen
