I am the way, the truth, and the life.  John 14:6

Read the following passages.  Luke 10:38-42; John 11; Isaiah 29:13; John 14:1-6; and Zechariah 14:6-9.

Now it happened as they went that He entered a certain village, and a certain woman named Martha welcomed Him into her house.  And she had a sister called Mary, who also sat at Jesus’ feet and heard His word.  But Martha was distracted with much serving, and she approached Him and said, “Lord, do You not care that my sister has left me to serve alone? Therefore tell her to help me.”  And Jesus answered and said to her, “Martha, Martha, you are worried and troubled about many things.  But one thing is needed, and Mary has chosen that good part, which will not be taken away from her.” Luke 10: 38-42

Therefore the Lord said:  “Inasmuch as these people draw near with their mouths And honor Me with their lips, But have removed their hearts far from Me,  And their fear toward Me is taught by the commandment of men. Isaiah 29:13

“Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me.  In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.  And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also.  And where I go you know, and the way you know.”  Thomas said to Him, “Lord, we do not know where You are going, and how can we know the way?”  Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. iNo one comes to the Father except through Me.  John 14:1-6

And in that day His feet will stand on the Mount of Olives, Which faces Jerusalem on the east. And the Mount of Olives shall be split in two, From east to west, Making a very large valley; Half of the mountain shall move toward the north And half of it toward the south. Zechariah 14:4

It shall come to pass in that day That there will be no light; The lights will diminish.  It shall be one day Which is known to the Lord Neither day nor night. But at evening time it shall happen That it will be light.  And in that day it shall be— That living waters shall flow from Jerusalem, Half of them toward the eastern sea And half of them toward the western sea; In both summer and winter, it shall occur.  And the Lord shall be King over all the earth. In that day it shall be “The Lord is one,”  And His name one.  Zecharaiah 14:6-9

What do we learn about Martha and Thomas?  How does their story resonate with you?  Are you like either one of them or both? Is there anything that is holding you back from experiencing the full resurrection power of Jesus?  Do you have parts of your life that are hidden because no good could come from sharing them?  Do you have any labels that you have put on yourself that Jesus wants to take off today?

Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank you for your love for each of us.  I pray that we will live fully for you.  I pray that we will depend on you and seek your truth.

In Jesus Name

Amen
