“Jesus gave them this answer: “Very truly I tell you, the Son can do nothing by himself; he can do only what he sees his Father doing, because whatever the Father does the Son also does.”
John 5:19
Let’s dig deep today!! Do you know what happens when you pray?
The Holy Spirit knows what God is doing or purposing in our lives. Let’s read 1 Corinthians 2:10-12. What does this mean? What is God saying to you? Who can instruct you in what God is doing?
Jesus was always looking for where the Father was working. He then would join him. The Father loves the Son and would show him what He was doing. Jesus never had to guess what to do. This is what Jesus would like for us to do also.
Have you ever been in the middle of a tragedy or a confusing circumstances and started to accuse of things that are not true of him? Take a moment and describe the circumstances. Take some time if you haven’t already and read the book of Job.
Now let’s read John 6:1-15. We don’t know the truth of any situation until we have heard from Jesus. What would be the truth of the feeding of the 5,000 according to the disciples? Why did Jesus ask Phillip where to buy bread? When Truth (Jesus) was present what difference did that make? When Truth (Jesus) revealed Himself to that crowd, how did they respond?
Never determine the truth by the circumstances. We cannot know the circumstances until we hear from God. The Holy Spirit uses the Bible to reveal Gods perspective.
