Do not put your trust in princes, in human beings, who cannot save. When their spirit departs, they return to the ground; on that very day their plans come to nothing. Psalm 146:3-4
Another verse that I am thankful for. This verse speaks to me here I’m not putting our trust in high authority or in humans to save me. They can’t save me, only Jesus can. Humans tend to make promises that they can’t keep or deliver. This is hurtful and disappointing. However, God does! He has kept his promise since the beginning of time.
He has kept his promises to me. His plans to come to great things. I am thankful to serve a God who saves and keeps his promises. Don’t get me wrong humans are great and I am called to love them, to care for them, etc. However, I am not called to put my trust in them. I am called to trust in God. Yes, there are trustworthy humans, yet they can’t save me. They can’t give me hope. Only Jesus can give me hope. Humans cannot give me peace. Only Jesus can give me peace.

Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank you for being so trustworthy! Thank you for being the one and only on who saves us. Thank you for your hope and peace!
