Let him be accursed. What does accursed me? Have you noticed that word before? I sure haven’t.
Accursed means that one has come under God’s curse, is doomed to destruction and will receive God’s judgment, eternal punishment and permanent separation from God. Paul expresses many things about this verse. First he expresses that the Holy Spirit is inspired attitude of justified anger. Also judgment to those fools twist the truth of the original gospel of Christ, or to those who changed the truth revealed in God’s word. Jesus had the same attitude. John Peter and Jude had the same attitude as Jesus about this topic. This attitude but we felt it all believers hearts who love and defend the truth of Christ who is revealed in God’s word.
God is faithful people are convinced that the message of Christ is the good news of salvation. There is no hope for the world that is separated from God because of sin and rebellion. With Christ there is hope for reconciliation with God! Those who preach the gospel contrary to the message that Paul preached rebuild by Christ or condemn.
When a person adds or takes away from God’s original and foundational message given to Christ and the apostles, it is under God’s curse – “ God will take away his share in the tree of life” Revelations 22:18-19
