Encounters With God Requires Faith

I tell you the truth, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, “Move from here to there” and it will move.  Nothing will be impossible for you.  Matthew 17:20-21

When God speaks to you, how do you respond?  Do you respond with faith?

When God speaks to us we must respond with faith.  Faith is having confidence in Hod that he will do what he promised. Seeing what God will do is not faith.  If you have to see clearly how something can be accomplished , this is more likely not to be faith.  Faith is believing the God who has called us to the assignment is the One who would provide for their accomplishments.

Faith must be in a person.  It must be in God Himself.  Faith is only valid in God and what He says He is purposing to do.  You need to depend on God and what he can do.  Only a mustard-seed size faith in God, nothing is impossible.  Our faith must be based on God’s power and not human wisdom.  Without firm faith, we will stumble and fall.

Let’s look at Moses.  Moses could not deliver the people from Pharaoh, cross the Red Sea, provide water from from a rock, provide bread and meat for food.  Moses has to have faith in God to to do the things he did.  Even the disciples couldn’t do miracles without God.  When you have faith in the God that calls you, you will be obedient.  Obedience shows faith.

Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank you for being patient with us.  Thank you that we just need a little faith in you to move mountains. I pray that we will be obedient to you and what you ask of us.
In Jesus Name

Amen
