Extraordinary Faith

While he was still speaking, there came from the ruler’s house some who said, “Your daughter is dead.  Why trouble the Teacher any further?”  But overhearing what they said, Jesus said, to the ruler of the synagogue, “Do not fear, only believe.”  Mark 5:35-36

D you believe?  What do you believe?  Is your fee bigger than what you believe?  Or is your belief bigger than you fear?

These verses is about a synagogue ruler named Jairus.  He was a man with authority over the place and process of worship. This rule came to Jesus in desperation because his daughter was dying.  Jesus agreed to go with him to his house.  Before they arrived, they got news that they daughter had died.  Jesus wasn’t shaken by this.  Jesus responded by encouraging Jairus’s faith in a hopeless situation.

We, the true followers of God, have placed our trust in him even when all seems lost.  This has happened all throughout history.  God gives ordinary people an extraordinary faith that allows them to fulfill HIs plans and purposes for them.  The things we go through in life may seem hopeless, scary, or fearful.  During these times we have to have our faith planted in God and remember that He has a plan and a purpose.  All we have to do during these moments is believe!  Only Believe!  Believe in our triune God.  NO matter what the situation is!   Keep the faith and do not fear!  God has us in the palm of His hand.

Are you one of the ordinary people with extraordinary faith?  Do you want to be one of these people?  Build your relationship with God.

Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank you that we only have to believe in you.  I pray that as we are going through an uncertain time at this moment, that we will remember that you hav a plan and purpose.  WE can trust in that and in your word.  I pray that even though we are ordinary that we will have extraordinary faith during this time and going forward.

In Jesus Name

Amen
