“May the God who gives endurance and encouragement give you the same attitude of mind toward each other that Christ Jesus had, so that with one mind and one voice you may glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. Accept one another, then, just as Christ accepted you, in order to bring praise to God. For I tell you that Christ has become a servant of the Jews on behalf of God’s truth, so that the promises made to the patriarchs might be confirmed and, moreover, that the Gentiles might glorify God for his mercy. As it is written: “Therefore I will praise you among the Gentiles; I will sing the praises of your name.” Again, it says, “Rejoice, you Gentiles, with his people.” And again, “Praise the Lord, all you Gentiles; let all the peoples extol him.””
Romans 15:5-11
Do you glorify God in unity with other believers?
The apostle delivered two exhortations. He then, stopped and prayed over the success he had. He gives got the title of patience and consolation. God Bears with us and comforts us. He wants us to testify and love our brothers and sisters in Christ.
The apostle begs God to be gracious enough to us, to grant us the like mindedness of Christ towards each other. This like minded Ness must be according to Jesus Christ, the royal law of love. The example of Christ to us.
we are taught to pray the will of God to be done on earth as in heaven. At the end of this prayer the apostles desire is that God be glorified. We should have the glory of God in every prayer we say. Have you ever thought of that? Do you have the glory of God in your prayers?
Jews and Gentiles should praise God. Everyone on earth should be called to praise the Lord. This shows that we should have knowledge of him. We should never seek Christ till we trust in him. The whole plan of redemption is suited to reconcile us to one another, as well as to our gracious God. There is an abiding hope of eternal life, that through the sanctifying and comforting power of the Holy Spirit, may be attained. Our own power will never attain this; therefore where this hope is, the blessed Spirit must have all the glory. All joy and peace through praising God will suppress doubts and fears, through the powerful working of the Holy Spirit.
Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank you for your Sons example of how to praise you in unity! I pray that when we pray it will glorify you!
In Jesus Name
Amen
