God Centered Life

Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the Lord our God.  Psalm 20:7

Do you live a God-centered life or a self – centered life?

This is what a self-centered life looks like.  A self – centered person is focused on themselves.  They are proud of their accomplishments and themselves.  They are self-confidence.  They depend on themselves and their abilities.  They affirm themselves.  They seek to be acceptable to the world and its ways.  They look at circumstances fro a human perspective.  They are selfish and ordinary living.

A God-centered person has confidence in God.  They are dependent on God and His ability and provision.  They focus on God and His activity.  They are humble before God.  They deny themselves.  They seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness.  They seek God’s perspective in every circumstance.   They are holy and live godly.

Are there any changes you want to change?

When we live a God-centered life, we are focused on God’s purpose and plans.  We must seek to see things from God’s perspective than from our human perspective.   God chooses to involve people when He is at work.  When we submit our lives to God, we will wait until God shows us what He is about to do or we watch to see what God is doing around us and join Him.

This is what God did with Noah, Abraham, Gideon, Saul (later Paul).  When He was about to do something, He approached each of these men before he did anything of it.  Are you willing to be approached by God?

Dear Heavenly Father,

I pray that we will be God-centered in our lives and not self-centered.  I pray that we will join you and your plans.  I pray we will realize that it’s not about our purpose or plans but yours.

In Jesus Name

Amen
