Hey, Dear friend!!! God chose you!!! Yes! You!! Just as He saw Hagar, Mary, Ruth, Deborah, David, Samuel, and Paul, He sees you. He sees the very core of you and He still chose you. God already took the first step in our relationship with him. God did this when He sent His son who died to pay the price for our sins. Jesus made a bridge between man and God, so we could have a personal, deep, connection to Him.
God’s chosen people are those who choose to accept his invitation of forgiveness and live a new life in Him. We imitate Christ by enduring suffering with the joy given by the Holy Spirit. We set an example of how to live by faith. We follow Christ and serve God’s will and purpose.
You, my dear friend, are loved deeply by God. The word chosen is from the greek word ekloge. The root word to ekloge is eklegomai. It means to pick out, choose, to pick or choose out for one’s self. Choosing out of many, Jesus chose his 12 disciples. God chose those to recieve his favor. He separated the chosen form the rest of mankind, to give his mercy and grace to them. His chosen people are the Israelites. Then because of Jesus sacrifice, those who accept His invitation of salvation are also His chosen people.
When you feel bad about that choices you made in your day, remember God loves you. He knows your heart. All you have to do is repent and turn away from your sin and guilt. Don’t listen to the lies whispered into your ear about how awful you are and how you don’t deserve God’s love and mercy. This is not who God is. He is continuously forgiving of our mistakes. He keeps repeating to us what needs to change in our lives, when we keep doing the same wrong thing. Hopefully, we will see what He is wanting us to change and we will obey. Through it all, He is there. Choosing you and me, making us into beautiful creation that he knows we can be.
God choose you!!!
Do you believe this?
Do you struggle with the lies being whispered to you?
Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank you for choosing us before we ever chose you. Thank you for sending your son to die for us. I ask that we have help with the stronghold in our life. That you will break them. I pray that we will choose you every day. That we will listen to the Holy Spirit that speaks truth to us.
In Jesus Name
Amen
