God Loves Me In. . .

When I am in distress, I call to you, because you answer me.  Psalm 86:7

I know God loves me and I know he loves you.  He cares for the little things and the big things.  I say that because I had a very much of a God moment today.  Today I had to go to another town and teach piano lessons. It was a very chaotic day.  First thing we do is drop our van off at the shop, then we go to lunch with my mom.  Next, we go back and get our van.  I go to my home and realize I don’t have my phone.  I search all over the house and in my purse a lot.  I send my husband out and about to look for it.  He searches every where.  He even goes to my mom’s place and searches.  No luck!  Now, I am in panic mode.  Praying while giving lessons.  I tell my third student that I am not in a good mood and why.  I even think I caught him praying.  I’m not for sure though.  We get done and my husband asks, do you think you could have dropped it outside and the plows got it when they went by.  I said, “Yes, could be.”  So now, we are looking in the snow drifts and praying still for a silly expensive phone to show up.  My mom is praying.  While I was walking on the street fluffing the snow hoping my phone shows up, I look down at my wrist and realize I have my watch that is connected to my  phone.  I look at my watch to see if it’s connected to my phone.  Nope, it’s not.  So now I know that it is nowhere near my home.  I give my sweet, patient, loving husband my watch and ask him to go back to the two business  and see if my watch connects to the phone.  At one of the places, my phone connects.  Three of the employees and my husband look through garbage looking for my phone.

My husband comes home and gives me my phone.  I was lucky because within just 20 minutes of getting to that place, my phone would have been in the dumpster.

I wasn’t surprised, while I was looking in the snow for my phone.  A small still voice told me the phone was in the garbage where we dropped the van off at.  No, I didn’t say anything.  until my husband told me all that he had done to find my phone.

God loves me deeply and I know this by:

1: Details matter to him.  I haven’t been wearing my watch lately, but I really believe he told me to put it one today.

2.  I do have a lot of stuff on my phone for ministry – What if someone needs to get ahold of me and I don’t have my phone.  I could replace it, I could upgrade, but I really don’t want to do that.  It would still cost money.  He spoke to me about where it was and reminded me of my watch.

3.  He gave me a loving, caring man who had his own errands to get done, but stopped to help me find my phone.

4. God answered our prayers over a stupid little phone that could be replaced.

See how God shows us individually how much he loves us even over material things we lose.  Now he might not do this all the time, but today He showed me love on Valentines Day, a day I don’t get overly excited about.  Today, he showered me with love.

Lesson I learned:

I do know his voice and I should boldly share when I need to (like in this event and tell my husband where to go) and not doubt the it was silly of God to tell me exactly where it was.

God is so alive today.  He cares and loves me.  Little ol’ me.  Nothing special about me.  But to him I matter a lot.  All the way to the little details that matter to me.

I know he loves you too!  Cares for you too!  You matter to him.  I pray that you have a God moment day too!!! God is a good, good father.

Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank you for loving us in every little detail of our lives.  I pray that we will hear you clearly and not doubt it.  I pray that others will have an experience that they will experience your love for them.

In Jesus Name

Amen
