Jesus replied: “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment.” Matthew 22:37-38
Do you ever feel like there are times in your life when God doesn’t love you?
Have you ever been accused of not loving someone in your life just because of the circumstances that a person is in?
It’s not that you don’t love them unconditionally or that your love for them has changed, it is just that you are loving them differently. This is the same way we might feel towards God. However, that is not a true feeling. God’s love never changes for us. No matter what circumstances you go through in life, you have to determine for yourself that God’s love for you never changes.
When you have difficulties that show up in areas of your life, can you honestly say that you love God with all your heart?
Can you describe your relationship with God?
God created us for a love relationship with Him. If you can’t describe your relationship by saying that you love God with your whole heart, mind, and soul, take this time to pray for the Holy Spirit to bring into that kind of relationship with God.
Both the Old Testament and the New Testament speak of loving God with all our heart, soul and mind. This is his heart cry. Everything about our Christian life, knowing God, experiencing God, knowing His will, depends on our love relationship with Him. If you don’t have that right, nothing else in your life will be right. It is the most important factor in your life.
I am teaching my children to love God more than me and their father. I want my children to learn to Love God with all their heart, soul, and mind. To Love God before anyone else. I let them know that their parents love God more then we love each other. Have you ever thought of this before? My parents didn’t say anything like this to me. However, I know they wanted me too. But I want my children to understand it now. I want to live it now. Do you have this desire for your life and your loved ones?
Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank you for wanting and pursuing a love relationship with us. God, I pray the Holy Spirit Guides to let us know if we have a love relationship with you. I pray that each of us will love you with all of our hearts, mind, and soul.
