The Lord appeared to us in the past saying: ‘ I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with loving-kindness.’ Jeremiah 31:3
God always is the first to pursue a love relationship with each of us. He comes to us and takes the initiative so we can experience him. This is what he did with Adam and Eve. He fellowshipped with them and them with Him. He came to Noah, Abraham, Moses, etc. We do not seek God on our own initiative.
Romans 3:10-12 says, “as it is written, “THERE IS NONE RIGHTEOUS, NOT EVEN ONE; THERE IS NONE WHO UNDERSTANDS,
THERE IS NONE WHO SEEKS FOR GOD; ALL HAVE TURNED ASIDE, TOGETHER THEY HAVE BECOME USELESS;
THERE IS NONE WHO DOES GOOD, THERE IS NOT EVEN ONE.”
We are not righteous on our own. No one understands spiritual things on their own. There are none who seek God. No one does good on their own. This is what sin has done to us. We do not seek Him on our own initiative. If we have a relationship with God or His Son, It has come from God himself. God draws us to himself.
God focuses on our lives with an everlasting love. Because of God’s love, He has drawn us to himself. When we were not His friend, but his enemy, he drew us with the cords of love. He gave his very own Son to die for you and for me. In order for us to experience and be in His will, we have to be convinced of God’s love.

Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank you for taking the initiative to pursue us. I pray that we will respond back to you and accept your love. I pray that we will have a love relationship with you.
