but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:8
Jesus died for you and for me! He died for us when we were sinners! He died for his enemies. Yet, he loved you and me, his enemies. He was willing to die for us, now that is love. Do you grasp this? Jesus died so we can know the triune God. Now that is a lot of love.
Friends usually are willing to make a sacrifice for each other, however, we are not willing to do the same for our enemies, even frenemies (you know the ones that friends but yet at th same time an enemy)!! However, Christ’s love excelled, he gave his life for his enemies. So that we could have our sins wiped away and have a relationship with our triune God. God loved us when we were rebels. This is love!!
God is great example of showing love! Jesus is a great example of showing love.
Let’s show love to all people!!
How do we do that?
It’s quite simple, really!!
We show love in kindness.
We show love in compassion.
We show love in grace.
We show love in understanding.
We Show love in concern for one another.
We show love in sympathy.
We show love in empathy.
We show love in forgiveness.
We show love in consideration.
We show love in courtesy.
We show love in thoughtfulness.
We show love in listening.
We show love in Caring.
Here is the thing though. To show any of this, one need to have God’s love in you; or this will even be harder to do. You will not to be able to do this to your enemies. I mean honestly, it is even hard to do with your loved ones sometimes.
Where are you at with loving God?
Where are you at with loving others? Do you need a little him from our Triune God?
Do you really grasp how deeply God loves you?
Go back and look at all the we show love examples. This is exactly what our Triune God does for us each and every day.
What an amazing God!!
Dear Heavenly Father,
You are so amazing at loving us. You love your enemies. You love your children. You are j a great example of how to show love. I ask that you help us in this area of love.
