God Spoke To Micah

But you, O Bethlehem Ephrathah, who are too little to be among the clans of Judah, from you shall come forth for me one who is to be ruler in Israel, whose coming forth is from fo old, from ancient days.  Therefore, he shall give them up until the time when she who is in labor has given birth; then the rest of his brothers shall return to the people of Israel.  And he shall stand and shepherd his  flock in the strength of the Lord, in the majesty of the name of the Lord his God.  And they shall dwell secure, for now he shall be great to the ends of the earth.  And he shall be their peace.  Micah 5:2-5

 

 

God told Micah that Jesus would be born in Bethlehem in Judah in Israel of a royalty Line.  Jesus would fulfill God’s promises to his people.

God would abandon his chosen people.  He was allowing the nations to go its own way and suffer the consequences of its choices.  Man would pay the consequences.  Jesus will bring peace to us.  When we accept Christ as our Messiah, we will have peace and when he return HE will bring complete peace.

God told Micah and other prophets about sending a King to them.

Why do you think he told the prophets 100’s of years before Jesus being Born???

I think its to fulfill his promises, to give hope, and not to be surprised when it happened.

Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank you for speaking to the prophets about your plans to send the future King to your people.  Help Us to know your word more so we see the miracles you do.
