God Will Not Forget You

Can a woman forget her nursing child, that she should have no compassion on the son of her womb? Even these may forget, yet I will not forget you.  Behold, I have engraved you on the palm of my hands; your walls are continually  before me.  Isaiah 49:15-16

God’s love for you is way more than a parents love.  Mother’s, for the most part, have a love for their children that is hard to describe.   Most people know not to mess wi a momma’s babies.  I grew up  on a farm.  The one thing that stuck with me on all the rules with the animals were, “Don’t  go near the babies the momma is near.” Moms furiously love their babies.  They nurture, they discipline, they fight, they protect their babies.

If moms do this for their love for their children, can you imagine God’s love for you? Yet, parents can  forget things of their child.  God does not  forget you.  He calls you by name.  He sees you, the core of the very you.  We are written on his palm of his hand. God is mindful of his children.  He looks upon us and never forgets us.  He is the one constant and loving God in our lives.

We have a Heavenly Father who love you and me.  When you feel forgotten remember that is a lie.  You are not forgotten.  God is the God who sees you and knows you.

Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank you for not forgetting us.  Thank you for knowing us to the deep parts of who we are.  I pray that you will speak to us when we do feel this way and show us where the lie is coming from.

In Jesus Name,

Amen
