God’s Grace

Romans 3:23

For all have sinned and fall short fo the glory of God.

I have sinned.  I still sin.  You sin.  The person next door sins.  Your best friend’s sins.  whether we are nonbelievers still living in sin, new believers trying so hard to figure out this new way of life, or a mature, seasoned Christian still falling here and there.  Bottom line we all sinned.  And the sad point is we fall short of God’s glory.

What is the Glory of God?

Is it important?

According to the dictionary – glory means

  1. high renown or honor won by notable achievements
  2. magnificent  or great beauty
  3. take great pride or pleasure in
  4. praise, worship, and thanksgiving offered to God

I do think it is important to understand the glory of God.  My reason is we fall short of it because of our sin.  We have to back up to verse 22 – This righteousness is given through faith in Christ Jesus, to ALL who BELIEVE.  There is no difference between  Jews and Gentiles.  Then we go to verse 24 – and ALL are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus.

We all sin.  NO one is above each other.  Christ died for all.  WE all have to BELIEVE in Christ Jesus and repent.  If we don’t,  We fall short of God’s glory – His honor, his magnificence, his beauty, his pride, his pleasure, his grace, His forgiveness, His mercy, and His love.

  LETS PRAY:

Dear God, I come before you today.  To ask you to forgive my sins.  Help me to serve you better today than I ever have before.  Thank you for who you are – your mercy, grace, forgiveness, patience, and unconditional love.  Thank you that I am not above anyone else.  Amen
