Devotional – God’s Love
John 3:16
‘For God loved the world in this way: so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life.’
God loves you. He loves me. He loves everyone. God is compassionate, gracious, slow to anger, faithful, and abounding in love for us. God wants you to have a relationship with him. He is waiting for you to choose him.
I have 7 children. I have 5 boys and 2 girls. I value each of them. I love each of them. I, often, try to comprehend how God could give his one and only son to us – humans. I can’t. I can’t imagine asking anyone fo my sons to die for someone. I now there are families that have children who are in the military. They are fighting for and dieting for our freedom. I will soon be one of those mom’s praying for her son’s safety. I don’t want to lose a child. I love each of them dearly. So how did God ask Jesus to come to Earth with a purpose? Because God loves you, me, and everyone. He loves us so much that He wants the barrier of sin removed. God wants a close relationship with us and Jesus is the only way.
IF you haven’t accepted Jesus as your savior, I invite you to make that decision now!
If you have made this decision for Christ, but need more – ask God – He will meet you where you are at. However, you have to put effort in the relationship too. Daily prayer, read and study the Bible, walk away from your old ways. These all can be hard. But so worth the sacrifice.
Lets’ pray:
Dear God,
Thank you for sending you son to earth. To have a ministry here on earth. Jesus forgive me of my sins. Be Lord and savior of my Life. I surrender to you. Mold me into the person you created me to be. God as I continue to walk in your ways, put a craving for you above all. God teach me your ways.
Amen
