Have you thanked God for your salvation, love, grace, and all of his spiritual benefits. We must never forget to thank him. What God has done for us, should make us to want to thank God continually. We should want to approach Him with a grateful heart.
Only one out of the 10 lepers came back to thank Jesus for healing him. The leper glorified God with a loud voice. We should also be very humble in our thanksgiving. Out of all the 10 lepers, this grateful man was they only Samaritan, the rest were Jews.
Ingratitude is a very common sin. Many have received God’s mercies. However, there are few, very few, that in return give thanks. It’s usually the least of the unexpected to be thankful to God. Here in this verse, the unexpected Samaritan gave Jesus thanks for healing him when the Jews didn’t even bother to thank Jesus.
Have you taken notice of others humble thanks?
The last person you thought would be thankful, IS!!! The one person you expect to be thankful says nothing! How do you deal with this?
Christ saw him as distinguished from the rest. This is how we can do it to for those who are humlely thankful.
Dear Heavenly Father,
I pray that we be like this humble thankful Samaritan. That we will take the time and humbly thank our God for everything that he does for us. I pray that we will not be ungrateful for what you do for us. I pray that we always acknowledge what you do for us.
In Jesus Name
Amen
