Abraham was promised to be the father of many nations. When he was promised this, he and his wife Sarah were a very old couple. It was a hopeless situation. However, He trusted and believe in God’s word. Abraham expectation (hope) that God would fulfilled His promise.
Faith is choosing to believe what God says. To be bold and unswervingly to trust God in the impossible. To believe in God in the face of challenging circumstances. Abraham grounded his faith upon hope when there was no objective grounds for hoping. He believed in God’s word and looked for his promises to be fulfilled, firmly hoping when the situation seemed hopeless, the promise would happen; it would be fulfilled.
Are you facing anything in you life that is against all odds, that it is hopeless?
Are you believing in the promises of God in the situation at hand?
Are you expecting God to fulfill His promises?
Do you have faith in God?
Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank you for keeping your promises. Thank you that we can have hope in you when there is no hope or at least seems hopeless. Thank you for keeping your promises and fulfilling them. Help us with any area that needs to be dealt with – our hope, faith, doubt.
In Jesus Name,
Amen
