If we knew every thing about our future, there would be no reason to have hope. We would have nothing to look forward to. We wouldn’t put our hope in Jesus.
Hope is based on a deep assurance. It is based on a firm confidence about future things. Hope is connected to faith. Hope is connected to a complete trust in God.
Since our salvation is past, present, and future, we haven’t received all the benefits of salvation. Therefore, we look ahead with hope and trust in Jesus.
Our future hope is unseen and we have to wait patiently on God to fulfill his promises. Wait upon His timing. As hard as that may be, it is always well worth the wait.
Do you have Hope? Do you see it or not? Can you wait for what you are hoping for with patience?
Dear Heavenly Father,
I thank you for your wonderful plans for your children. I thank you that you know the plans. I pray that we will put our hope in you with what we cannot see. I hope we can wait patiently for your timing of our future. I pray that we will trust you, have deep assurance in you, and firm confidence about our future.
In Jesus Name,
Amen
