In The Silence, There Is Hope

“Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.””
‭‭Deuteronomy‬ ‭31:6‬ ‭

Doesn’t this verse give you peace?

Has there ever been a time when you have been waiting for God to answer your prayer?

How did you feel in the waiting? Did you feel forgotten, discouraged, or frustrated?

Do you have any unanswered pray that you are waiting for an answer today?

When we are waiting on God to answer our prayers, we can feel like God is being silent.  Why do feel that God is silent to us?
God said he would never leave us or forsake us!  We have to hold on to that truth. Even when times seem dark and God seems distant! We have. To believe and trust he is with us!  We have to make sure it is not us that is leaving God.  We must remember that God is working behind the scenes of what we see!  God knows timing the best and what is beat for us!  He is preparing us for what is coming next in our lives.

From Malachi to Matthew it is known as the 400 years of God being silent!  Things on Earth were changing and expanding.  The Jews experienced tremendous changing within their culture.  Greek became powerful. Then the Maccabees stood up against them and drove them out!  Even then when God was silent, or seemed to be quiet; he was working on setting up for the coming Messiah.  People were discouraged in religion, roads were made, and people were free to travel.  However, faith and hope grew dimmer for God’s people.  In these moments, we need to trust and keep the hope in God and his perfect timing for what he wants to accomplish!!

Keep you Hope in the silence!

Dear Heavenly Father,

I pray that when we think you are being silent that we will dig deep inside and know that you are at work.  I pray that we will not be the ones to build distance between you and us!
In Jesus Name

Amen
