. We continually remember before our God and father your work produced by faith, your labor prompted by love, and your endurance inspired by hope in our Lord Jesus Christ. 1 Thessalonians 1:3
Faith, Love, and Hope. These three words you see together quite a bit. I do believe that these three words can be a foundation to our walk with God. Let’s dive in deeper!!
Faith! Faith is what we build our relationship with God. Faith according to an online dictionary means “complete trust or confidence in someone or something. A strong belief in God or in the doctrines of a religion, based on spiritual apprehension and not proof. We have to trust what God’s word says is true. As we study God’s word and get to know who he is we are building our faith. As we open our eyes to the good things God does for us, we build our faith. When we have no proof of what or why we do something in our belief, we are working in our Faith. When we are trusting in God with our faith, He is opening our eyes and ears to him, to his ways. When we are harden against God, our eyes and ears are shut off from His understanding.
Love! God IS love. What exactly is love? Love is an intense feeling of deep affection. A great interest and pleasure in something.
I love God’s way of showing us His love. His love is all around us. If we are willing to look and see. God first loved us. He sent His son to pay the price for our sins. He gives us mercy, grace and forgiveness over and over and over every day. He wants a relationship with us. He protects us, heals us, guides us, and is there for us. When we love God back, we are trusting in him and putting our hope in who he is.
Hope! Hope is a feeling of expectation and desire for a certain thing to happen. I have hope in God. Do you? I trust and love God, I have hope in His promises. I have hope in who he is. I have hope in what he has done and what he will do. In my toughest days, I will hope in Him. Will you hope in Him?
I pray that your faith, love and hope will grow deeper each day!
Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank you for everything. Thank you for loving me unconditionally. I don’t deserve it. Yet, here you are loving me. I pray that each day I will put my hope and trust in you. I will seek you in the morning and noon and evening. You are so worthy.
In Jesus Name,
Amen
