Integrity with money. Money is a hard thing. We need it. We want it. Some are greedy, some are stingy, some are generous. Whether we are financially tight or set very well off, there are times where every person will be tempted to be dishonest with money. For some it could be a blink of the eye temptation, for others it can be a hard long temptation. Our integrity though when it comes to money meets its match. God calls us to be honest in all areas. God calls us to be honest with the tiniest details we could easily rationalize away. If we aren’t trustworthy of our money here on earth, no matter what the amount is, we will not be able to handle the riches of God’s kingdom. We get so attached to our earthly values. Do we ever ponder on the heavenly riches? I wonder if we could really comprehend the Heavenly riches if our views of the earthly riches would diminish. Our earthly riches have no value compared to the riches of heaven. Don’t let your integrity fall into small temptations. Integrity will not fail you when it comes to decisions.
Would our honesty take a different turn if we desired God’s heavenly riches?
Can we outweigh the difference and have integrity with what God has given us?
Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank you for this beautiful morning! Thank you for the wonderful riches of this earth. I pray though that we will stay honest with what you have given to each of us. I pray that we will value what you value. I pray that we will see the importance of integrity in our lives and strife each day to be a person of integrity.
