Jesus Love For Us

I have loved you even as the Father has loved me.  John 15:7-9

How does the Father love the Son, Jesus?  Let’s find out from the following scriptures.

  • Matthew 17:5 -While he was still speaking, suddenly a bright cloud covered them, and a voice from the cloud said: This is My beloved Son. I take delight in Him. Listen to Him!
  • Mark 1:11
  • John 3:35 – The Father loves the Son and has given all things into His hands.
  • John 5:20
  • John 10:17 – This is why the Father loves Me because I am laying down My life so I may take it up again.
  • John 17:24
  • Colossians 1:19 – For God was pleased to have all His fullness dwell in Him,
  • 2 Peter 1:17

Does anything in your heart stir when you think about how Jesus loves us the same way the Father loves Him?

Read Hebrews 2:9-11. “But we do see Jesus—made lower than the angels for a short time so that by God’s grace He might taste death for everyone—crowned with glory and honor because of His suffering in death.  For in bringing many sons to glory, it was entirely appropriate that God—all things exist for Him and through Him—should make the source of their salvation perfect through sufferings. For the One who sanctifies and those who are sanctified all have one Father That is why Jesus is not ashamed to call them brothers,”

What do we learn from these verses about suffering, even as one “perfectly loved”?  How can this help us know we’re still perfectly loved even when we suffer?  What are your thoughts about how God loves you, even when you fail, less than perfect, or on God’s last nerve?  Do you ever ponder on the thought of “Does God get tired of me?”  Do you let your guilt and shame take over how God really feels about you? Read Isaiah 40:28, “Do you not know?  Have you not heard?  Yahweh is the everlasting God,  the Creator of the whole earth.  He never grows faint or weary;  there is no limit to His understanding.”  God does not get tired of you or weary!  Remember that the next time you question His love for you.  Now read Lamentations 3:22, “Because of the Lord’s faithful love, we do not perish, for His mercies never end.”  God loves you!  Jesus loves You!  Don’t ever forget this or believe the lies Satan is whispering to you.  Remember who is TRUTH and TRUSTWORTHY!!

Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank you for loving each of us as you love your son Jesus.  I pray that we will not doubt your love for us.  I pray that we will not believe the lies of Satan.

In Jesus Name

Amen
