Kingdom Ways

My thoughts are not your thoughts neither are your ways my ways’ declares the Lord.  ‘As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.’ Isa 55:8-9

The Bible has many parables that teach us about kingdom ways.  Each parables has a truth that we can live by.  In Matthew 13:47-50, the parable of the Net is about God and His angels are the ones who distinguish between the wicked and the righteous in judgement.  In Matthew 18:23 – 35 is about the Parable of the wicked servant.  This parable is about forgiving  and show mercy stop others the way God does to each of us.  The last parable it found in Matthew 20: 1-16, the parable of the laborers the vineyard.  In this parable, God is sovereign and generous God is being fair when He treats new converts just as generously as he does with people who have served Him for many years.  Please take some time  and really soak up what these passages are teaching us.  These are Kingdom ways.

Here is a challenge. Look up the following passages and write down what each parable is talking about.

Matthew 7:1-6

Matthew 7:24-27

Mark 4: 21-22

Luke 7: 41-42

Luke 10: 30-37

Do you have a parable that speaks to your heart?  Do you have one that you struggle with?  How easy is it to apply these parables to you daily life?  How can you correctly apply parables to you life?

Dear heavenly Father,

Thank you for this day.  God I ask that you speak to our hearts about these parables that you gave us.  Help us to live them out in our own lives. Please open our eyes and ears to the truths of this parables.  Help us to have understanding.

In Jesus Name

Amen
