God gave a distinctive feature of the new covenant. A gift of a new heart and a transformed nature. He gives this to those who surrender their lives to Him. We get a new heart and transformed life by the Holy Spirit’s work in our life. The Holy Spirit enables us to respond to God and gives us a desire to love and obey Him. Thank goodness for the Holy Spirit’s help!
We can be sure that we are spiritually saved and living in the new covenant. We can have confidence in this as long as we desire to please God. We need/have to live by His standards set in His Word.
Since Jesus’s death and resurrection, we live under a new covenant. God’s life agreement to us his people. Those who accept Christ. Those who entrust their lives to him, can personally know God and have a relationship with him. We get direct access to God. We get to experience his constant presence through the Holy Spirit living in each of us. How exciting that God made a way to be able to go right to him and not through the priest anymore.
The foundation in the new covenant is being forgiven for sin and being restored to a right relationship with God. We get spiritual benefits when we accept Christ. We benefit in Christ. Christ gives us spiritual blessings. In Christ, we are circumcised in Christ. We belong to Christ. In the Old Testament, baby boys were circumcised. This meant they belonged to Israel their nation. Our circumcision is of the heart. Another benefit is we are buried and raised with Christ. This is known as water baptism.
These are just a few benefits. These benefits are based on Christ’s sacrifice on the cross, which paid the penalty for our sins.
See – God has the perfect plan. Then He richly gives benefits and blessings. All so we can be in a relationship with him. I am thankful, very thankful for His forgiveness.

Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank you for making a way for us to have the right relationship with you. Thank you for sending Jesus to die on the cross to pay our penalty. Thank you for sending the Holy Spirit to guide us. Thank you for your benefits and blessings. God, I pray that if there is any sin in my life that you will show it and forgive me of it.
