this Ezra went up from Babylonia. He was a scribe skilled in the law of Moses that the Lord, the God of Israel, had given, and the king granted him all that he asked, for the hand of the Lord his God was on him. For Ezra had said his heart to study the law of the Lord, and to do it and to teach his statutes and rules in Israel. Ezra 7:6,10
The hand of the Lord was on Azurra in fact when you read the whole book of Ezra you’ll notice that it was on him three times. God was directing his purposes and blessing Ezra’s effort.
Ezra was a man who is devoted himself to studying God’s word, to practice it, and to teach it to others. Being loyalty to God and his word will always result in God giving us blessings and help. In Ezra 8:22. It says for I was ashamed to ask the king for a band of soldiers and horseman to protect us against the enemy on our way, since we had told the king, the hand of our God is for good on all who seek him, and the power of his wrath is against all who for sake him. This mentions another situation in which the Lord’s hand is on his people. When we rely completely on God, he will protect us. For Those who maintain a whole heartedly devotion to God, who seek his purposes and who genuinely show loyalty to his word will experience God’s blessing and protection.
For those who are devoted to God this scripture as a role model for all who are dedicating themselves to studying, obeying, and teaching God‘s word. Ezra believed that the law was given through Moses by God himself and that it was the highest authority for all gods people. It was very devoted himself to study literally seeking God‘s word. He was determined to know God‘s thoughts and purposes in the world and for his people. God gave Azurra wisdom just for this very reason. Ezra devoted himself to obeying God’s word and living by standards of right and wrong. Ezra was a man who lived by what he taught others. Ezra devoted himself to teach gods word in order to preserve and promote truth, righteousness, and purity to God’s people.
How to forwarded are you studying God’s word?
How devoted are you to living by what God‘s Word says?
How devoted are you to teach what you have learned to other believers?
As a follower of Christ are you devoted to him and all that he asked of you?
Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank you for your word. Thank you that today we as believers get to study your word and we get to live by it, and we could to teach others. God I pray that just as Ezra was devoted to studying your word, living by your word, and then teaching others about your word, that we will be devoted to you too and studying in knowing your word and knowing who you are. I pray that we will listen to you and we will follow your word and what you ask of us give us a desire to know your word, that we will live it just as Ezra did and then to pass it on to others.
In Jesus Name
Amen
