Reread the passage, with now the meanings to all the words. What is your response to this passage now?
God wants to send us into the world in His name. We’ve been called to share Jesus with the lost. We’ve been called to pray, disciple, and teach God’s word and His ways. We are called to believe, and with the belief, we are called to speak. Yet, our tongues are corrupted through gossip, backbiting, lying, criticism, profanity, perversity, and cursing. Read Isaiah 6:5. Then fill in this sentence for your own personal prayer! Woe is me! For I am __________________________________________.
Our confessions are atoned from the blood of sacrifice laid at the altar. So, likewise, Jesus Christ’s blood atones our sins.
Dear Heavenly Father,
I pray that we will use our tongues to glorify you.
In Jesus Name
Amen
