Paul was in prison. The church is in turmoil. Timothy probably didn’t have the courage to deal with the church. Paul is encouraging Timothy to speak to the church as God has called him to do.
God always gives us the strength to do what he has asked us to do. When we step out in faith and are obedient, that is when the evidence of God’s strength will be revealed. Therefore, when going through persecution for your faith, know that the Lord is standing by you and giving you the courage to obey him.
Is God asking you to do something you think you can’t do?
Have courage!! God is right there giving you the strength to follow through!!
Dear Heavenly Father,
I pray that we will obey you with what you ask of us. That we will do your will. Please give us the courage to follow through. Please help us to know that you are right there with us.
