Yesterday, we read about favor and what it means. Today, we will look at Blessing from God. The blessing of God is a wonderful gift to us. It’s finding favor with God. We can have the feel good feelings, and yet sometimes suffering still comes along with that blessing. We can go through trials or hardships and still receive a blessing from God. God’s favor didn’t bring Mary success or fame. At the beginning of her blessing, she is trustful to God and joyful and has peace. Would she share this news with others? Or did she keep it to herself in fear of being ridiculed by others? I do think she shared with Elizabeth though. Joseph secretly plans to divorce her. Then the drama would simmer down and the blessing would go on as a blessing, until she then had the pain and suffering of watching her son, her savior and our savior die on the cross for us. YET, He is our only hope! Mary was submissive to God’s plan. God promised King David that his kingdom would last forever. It was fulfilled through Jesus coming through the line of David. The Virgin birth is a miracle. A miracle that is hard for people to believe. It happened though! God says so!!!!

Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank you for your many blessing you give to us. Help us no matter what we go through, to always be thank you to you. Thank you for keeping your many promises. Thank you for sending us hope in a dark world. Thank you for your many miracles!!! I pray this Christmas We will believe in you, Jesus and the Holy Spirit – Our Triune God!!
