And Mary said, “My soul glorifies the Lord and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior, for he has been mindful of the humble state of his servant. From now on all generations will call me blessed, for the Mighty One has done great things for me – Holy is His name. His mercy extends to those who fear him, from generation to generation. He has performed mighty deeds with his arm; He has scattered those who are proud their inmost thoughts. He has lifted up the humble, He has filled the hungry with good things but has sent the rich away empty. He has helped his servant Israel, remembering to b merciful to Abraham and his descendants forever, even as he said to our fathers”. Mary stayed with Elizabeth for about 3 months then returned home. Luke 1:46-56
What a humble heart Mary has! She has a great blessing, yet it wouldn’t be easy. Remember her reputation is at sake! Yet she says YES!!! To God!!! and now singing praises to God. She understands she is carrying her savior . Her Savior, Your Savior, My Savior, OUR Savior has come!!!!! Through the uncertainty of things, through her trust in God, in her humbleness, in her servanthood, she is glorifying God. Mary is keeping God as her focus. Have you ever thanked God in your trials, your hardships? Praise Him when you said yes and didn’t think it through? If you haven’t, give it a try. I have and will continue to do so. Something miraculous happens when you do this. It could be huge or really simple, but still miraculous. Today praise in everything!!!!
Dear Heavenly Father,
I praise you in these trying times in my life. I praise you for who you are. I trust you in all things and areas of my life. I don’t need to know all things just that you are in control. You have a purpose and a reason for this. Its part of the your master plan.
