Maturing In Christ

. Let those of us, who are mature think this way, and if in anyway you think otherwise  God will reveal that also to you.  Only let us hold true to what we have attained.  Philippeans 3:15-16

Running the race of our lifetime to meet our goal to be with Jesus.  As we make progress in our spiritual growth , we must not allow ourselves to be lacking in our dedication to God.  We must hold onto what we have attained.

Mature Christians are those who continue to grow in their relationship with Christ.  We continue to grow the good times and bad times.  We don’t walk away from God when things don’t go the way we think it should.

Maturing in Christ requires the following:  You must put into practice the biblical practices that you have learned. We are responsible for what you have learned to apply it to your daily life.  God will not give us more responsiblity until we apply and do what He has already shown us.

We must press on to higher levels and a deeper relationship with God.  This means breaking the roller coaster cycle of our spiritual journey.  Circumstances will change and your feeling will go up and down.  When you evaluate your feelings, don’t let your feeling be the determining factor.  They can be decieving.  Stay close and trust God in your day to day happeninngs.  He wont fail you.

How are you in applying what God shows you to live by?

Do you live the roller coaster life cycle?

Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank you for guiding us.  I pray that you will continue to help us to grow deeper and more mature in you.  I pray that what truths we know we will apply to our lives.

In Jesus Name

Amen
