New Garments

Now Joshua was standing before the angel clothed with filthy garments.  And the angel said to him, “Remove the filthy garments from him.”  And to him he said, “Behold, I have taken your iniquity away from form you, and I will clothe you with pure vestments.  Zechariah 3:3-4

Zechariah had a vision of Joshua.  His vision shows how we receive God’s mercy.  It has nothing to do with ourselves.  It’s all God.  He removes our filthy garments of sin.  God, then, provides us with new garments.  They are new, clean, rich garments of righteousness and holiness of God.  This is what God’s mercy does for us.

All we have to do is repent and ask God for forgiveness.  Sin is very discouraging to our souls.  When we take a stand for God, satan will attack us.  It will be subtle and with malice.  However, to those who are in Christ, no fear!  He goes to battle for us.

Do you want to stay in your filthy garments?

Do you want to remove your Filthy garments?

Do you want to be clothed in pure vestments?

Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank you for all you have done for us – Forgiving us of our sins and  Dying on the cross.  Clothing us with your new garments of righteousness and holiness.  Thank you for giving us mercy.

In Jesus Name

Amen
