Do you struggle with praying to God? Is it easy for you to pray? Do you pray to yourself or can you pray out loud in a group?
Why is praying to God so hard for people? One would think that it would be easy to talk to God that already knows everything. Jesus even models the pray for us in Matthew 6:9-15. Then again, having a relationship with our heavenly Father is hard with all the hard things being thrown at us.
Prayer is a form of worship to our heavenly Father. It is expressing honor and worthiness. It is communicating openly to God our father. Even if we cannot relate to a good relationship with our earthly father, God is everything we could ever hope for. God will never let us down.
God is a loving, caring father. He will never let us down. He will care for us. He will guide us. He will welcome us to have a deep and open friendship with him. Through Jesus Christ, we have access to the Father at anytime to worship him and express our needs to him.
However, as a child of God, he does not tolerate evil in his children. He will not fail to discipline us. God opposes sin andwhat it can do to his children. God as the heavenly father with discipline us, he will also bless us. How God responds to his children will depend on our faith in him and our obedience to him. God is a good good Father.
Dear Heavenly Father,
I pray that we will trust you. I pray that we will build our faith in you. I pray that we will be obedient to you. Thank you for being a good good father to each of your faithful and obedient children.
