““For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the Lord.”
Isaiah 55:8
Have you ever thought about your situation that you are in or were in; have your thoughts and opinions about? Have you ever thought about how God views it? Even though we are made in his image and that makes us like Him in many ways, we also have to realize that we are not just like him!
Like this verse states, our thought are not like his thoughts, His ways are not our ways!! He is all knowing, we are not! We are only limited to a little bit of information on any given situation . We only have one or a few puzzle pieces, while He has all of them. God handles situation differently then we do!
Has God ever worked in your live unexpectedly?
How do you respond you Gods Unexpected ways?
The Israelites didn’t expect their savior to come as a baby! They were expecting a king! Jesus came as a suffering servant. He came to do the unexpected of reconciling us to God!
“He was oppressed and afflicted, yet he did not open his mouth; he was led like a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before its shearers is silent, so he did not open his mouth.”
Isaiah 53:7
“Meanwhile Jesus stood before the governor, and the governor asked him, “Are you the king of the Jews?” “You have said so,” Jesus replied. When he was accused by the chief priests and the elders, he gave no answer. Then Pilate asked him, “Don’t you hear the testimony they are bringing against you?” But Jesus made no reply, not even to a single charge—to the great amazement of the governor.”
Matthew 27:11-14
Whatvhas caught your eye as unexpected in these passages?
We might not know his ways or his thoughts! He may do the unexpected! However, in the unexpected we can trust and hope in Him!
Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank you for you ways and your thoughts! I pray that we will surrender every area of our lives to you! I pray that we will respond to your unexpected ways with a good attitude! I pray that we will lean I to your ways!
In Jesus name
Amen
